The year 2018 coincides with China's 40 years of reform and opening-up. Therefore, on the basis of the connotation definition, classification standard and policy experience of the advanced manufacturing industry from the major developed countries, the machine industry think tank conducted systematic research on the advanced manufacturing industry at home and abroad based on the actual situation of China's advanced manufacturing industry.

As early as the 1980s, the United States was the first country in the world to put forward the concept of advanced manufacturing, and with the improvement of technology and market changes, the concept was further defined and classified, ju told the meeting.

He said that the United States does not have a national standard for the concept and classification of advanced manufacturing, but is defined by the states, industries themselves.Although American colleges and universities vary greatly in their definition, there is not much difference between industrial sectors, especially between states.
